James F. Apostol

James Apostol joined the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute as vice president and chief operating officer in 2018. He leads PPI’s engagement efforts with a global membership and advances our mission through various operational and programmatic contributions. Before joining PPI, James was the deputy director of Harvard Law School’s Program on International Financial Systems. He served in various leadership roles at Harvard Law School, convening thought leaders for dialogue on international financial systems and developing executive education programs for regulators of securities markets. James holds degrees in literature from Boston University and sustainability from Harvard Extension School and was a visiting fellow at the Center for Corporate Governance and Climate Change at the University of Chile, Santiago. He is passionate about local agriculture and has served on the board of various nonprofits.
