Mark Conrad Mancao

Mark Mancao is chief of staff to the president of the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute (PPI) and leads the organization’s communications, technology, and design functions. Additionally, he supports the Nominating & Governance Committee of the PPI Board of Directors. Since joining PPI in 2012 as the communications and membership officer, his responsibilities have progressively increased to include communications information technology, design, and managing special projects. He develops and maintains the PPI public website, event app, event management/registration, and community platforms. Mark designs all of PPI’s collateral and is responsible for PPI’s technology infrastructure, data security, and privacy. He has over 25 years of experience working with global nonprofit organizations, serving in communications, technology, design-related roles, conflict transformation, and mediation in New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco. Mark earned a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University and two master’s degrees from Columbia University School of Social Work and Union Theological Seminary. Mark lives in Blacksburg, Virginia, with his partner of 28 years and three cats, where he embraces minimalism, plays the ukulele, and fosters a fascination with distributed ledger technology, the internet of things, and new technological frontiers, such as AR/VR, to connect us in new ways and across distances.
